Pistatio Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 BOX OF GOLDEN YELLOW CAKE MIX
  • 4 LG. EGGS
  • 1/4 CUP OF OIL
  • 1/4 CUP OF WATER
  • 1 CUP OF SOUR CREAM
  • 2 BOXES OF PISTACHIO PUDDING MIX
  • 1/4 CUP OF EACH SUGAR AND CINNAMON (MIX THESE TOGETHER)

Steps

  1. MIX THE FIRST SIX INGREDIENTS INTO A LARGE MIXING BOWL WITH AN ELECTRIC MIXER ON MED./LOW SPEED (THE DOUGH GETS REALLY THICK SO CLEAN OFF YOUR MIXER ONCE OR TWICE TO GET A GOOD MIX)
  2. LIGHTLY GREASE AND FLOUR TWO BREAD PANS AND PREHEAT YOUR OVEN TO 325F
  3. POUR INTO EACH PAN 1/4 OF THE MIX(BECAUSE THE DOUGH IS SO THICK YOU MAY FIND IT EASIER TO USE YOUR FINGERS TO HELP SPREAD THE DOUGH INTO THE PAN)
  4. SPRINKLE WITH CINNAMON/SUGAR MIX AND THEN ADD REMAINING BATTER (1/4 INTO EACH PAN)AND TOP WITH REMAINING CINNAMON/SUGAR MIX (THE BATTER WILL LOOK THIN IN YOUR BREAD PANS BUT IT WILL RISE WHEN COOKING)
  5. BAKE FOR 1 HOUR FOR LARGE BREAD PAN OR 50 MIN. FOR SMALL BREAD PAN (TIMES MAY VARY ACCORDING TO YOU OVEN)BREAD IS DONE WHEN A TOOTHPICK INSERTED COMES OUT CLEAN.

  • Use 1/2 of the cinnamon/sugar mix to test. The full amount was too much
